Sage VAT Rate Changes

The standard rate of VAT is returning from 15% to 17.5% on 1st january 2010.  You will need to apply the 17.5% rate to all sales of standard-rated goods and services taking place on or after that date.

Update your Sage software

If you are using Sage 50, MMS, Line 100, Sage 200 or Instant accounts make sure you are up to date with the latest patches and versions.  If your software is out of date it may not run as well as it should, you may not be making use of thre time saving feaures and could leave you open to corruptions.
